American amongst the Canadians

Helloooooooo Monday.

In my Fridays post I mentioned the Olympic torch was coming by. I did have a chance to catch it. Its so interesting being an American in Canada. There are many stereo types they place on Americans. One, being that we are all overly patriotic.

(those are my guys above looking on, you cant see Mr. chubs but dad is holding him)

(Passed from ground to boat)

Its been interesting to see the Patriotism coming out of the Canadians as they support the Olympics here in B.C.

My husband and son have been wearing Canada Olympic hoodies for two days now. My son has just feel right into the buzz of it all, mainly due to my husband.

Last night Canada won their first Gold medal on Olympic soil. You could hear shouts and honking from everywhere.

Every night since Friday, we get to watch fireworks out our upstairs windows.

Wow, I bet Canada is an exciting place to be right now! This year is the most I've ever watched of the games. My husband loves the Winter Olympics!

When the Commonwealth Games came to Melbourne in 2006 the buzz was fantastic. The weather in Melbourne in March is beautiful – somewhere between summer and autumn, clear blue skies. Thanks for bringing back those memories! It looks rather cold in Canada right now – we don't get snow here, so it's hard to imagine what it's like to live somewhere that gets so cold. Brrr!
