Artful Friday- Little Van Gogh’s

My students, I love them, I say this often, but they are so very talented and such a great class.

For our project, we looked at Gogh’s works, looked at his self portrait and talked about his life.

We then discussed brush strokes and the different styles of painting. We practiced different brush strokes, especially short ones, and also layering paint.

Question of the day: ” what does a forest look like?”

Materials Used: tempura paint, and a black construction paper for the canvas.

My students did a lovely job, don’t you think? If this is the first time you have stopped by my students are 4-6 years old.

Have a great weekend.
