Artful Friday- Picasso

March 4, 2011 | Comment4 comments - join the party! |

The self portrait is by far one of my favorite projects to make with young artists. These artists are 6-8 years old.

For this project we looked at more abstract version using Pablo Picasso as our inspiration.

Materials Used: pencil, construction paper, scissors, glue stick , chalk pastel for details and markers for the background.

Happy Friday all.

Oh my goodness, it's kind of funny that you should post about this! We went to my 6 yr old sons parent teacher interview last night and one of the things we absolutely loved in his art portfolio was the Picasso painting he did! We are totally planning on framing it and hanging it someplace in the house, one of my absolute favs! Hope you have a lovely weekend!
