Baby on the way

To my new baby, I don’t know you, but I love you.

I was so excited to see you the other day, I cried. I cried when I saw your brothers too. It’s so nice to see you moving in there.

You are the third, people usually say that the first receives the most attention and it dotted on the most, but your second brother, he gets lots of attention. Not just from us, but strangers everywhere. He has something that one, that makes people want to hold him, kiss him, often people ask if they can take him home. It could be his chubby cheeks or maybe its his electric smile.

I am sure you will have some things of your own too, and we can’t wait to meet you. You will add your on little element to the family.

Being a third child has it’s perks too, you won’t have a mother who is worried at every cough or every fall. Luckily for you, I come with experience now.

I can promise you will have lots and lots of hugs and kisses, as we are quite the hugs and kisses kind of family.

To my oldest:
You are a big brother. I am so proud of you. You hug and kiss your younger brother awake or asleep. You won’t let anyone leave your sight with him, you are a great protector. You also talk about the new baby, wonder where it will sleep, and how will it fit in the car. You also kiss my belly, and tell the baby you love it. I was so worried when I was pregnant the second time. I felt guilty, how could I ruin our perfect little trio. How could I take time and attention away from you?

At the same time, I was wishing for a brother for you, someone to be your partner in crime. Then he came, just as we wished.

Magic happened when you too played together. That’s about the time I wished for one more.

You are my twin soul, no one could be more like me than you. My dream come true, you made me mom.

To my second child:
You will be a big brother soon, it’s hard to imagine as you are just a baby yourself. I hope you have had enough time to be “the baby”. I think from all the attention you get, you just might be ok. No one can pass you by without a smile.

You are going to be a great big brother as you are so gentle. You are the sweetest little thing a Mom could have ( a second time). You hug and kiss me, Dad, and brother, and I even saw you kiss one of my dolls the other day.

You are a light in my heart, and addiction of kisses, the chubbiness I always dreamed of. I smile at any thought of you. You might not have many words yet, but you have lots of personality.

When you came along, you completed a missing piece in our lives that we never knew was missing. You have made all three of our lives full.

I could fill my house with little feet, I love them so. Little laughs, little feet, kisses, hugs , big dreams, small dream, the magic of being so small in a big wonderful world.

To all three of my children, thank you, for making me a mom, it’s the best thing I could ever become.

Oh ,and thanks to my husband, I couldn’t have done it with out you. You are true love and patience.

My oldest said to me, “Mom, when this one comes, can we have two more”?
I said , ” Do you know how many that will be?”
He counted, “Five”
I said ” you want there to be 5 children?”
“Yes” he said, we are going to have a bigger car now, and it’s fun”.
I said “ok, sounds good, now we just have to talk Dad into it”.
