What you need:

parchment paper

pencil for tracing (unless you can free hand cutting heart…I can’t)

scissors

treats for filling

a sewing machine to close it all up

So much fun. I made my Valentine troop bigger ones because I was having so much fun.

I am thinking of wrapping all my gifts this way, but maybe scrap fabric to save some trees.

I found these ADORABLE Valentine’s from the ever talented Emily W Martin.

I printed them out, uhghmmm, a while back. ( I am always trying to get around to started projects).

So I gathered them, and I had even cut them so long ago. I put them under my sewing machine and added a little hand sewn felt heart to each end. Very cute, I just love them. Although I took so long to put it together, I will be putting it up every year.

Did you know that at Arts Umbrella, our staff are artist with a degree or higher education. All of our Instructors are practicing artists as well in various forms. So, when you send your child to Arts Umbrella you can be sure that the class is being taught by experienced artists, that have studied the arts, know various techniques, and love art.

One of our awesome Instructors pulled together a small show , so that we had the chance to showcase what we do. It is such a neat opportunity to see what we make outside our class rooms.

I just finished a project I started , ummm, three years ago. Ekkks
I had bought some patterns a while back and my oldest and I were starting them for my second, and now I am on baby 4!!!

They are my very first Wee Wonderfuls patterns. We call them Brownie and Shell-don. The new baby will be a spring baby so I thought they were very fitting.

I had started the Turtle first, when I look at him, I see how far my hand work has come. I almost want to take him apart and start again, but they are already quite loved now that they are complete. In fact, I have been told that we need to add two more, so says the oldest, one for each kid.

So nesting has started with about 8 weeks to go. I am working on a few projects and really into baking. I hoped this would end after Christmas but maybe it’s part of my nesting too. This weekend we are trying out cinnamon rolls, last weeks honey wheat bread was a good try. Notice I said try.

He told me that they have a story.

One white orchid for each one of our babies in the house, plus one maroon one for our first baby, we lost, Sara. One for the future and the rest are all the years we have built together.

He really is a thoughtful and sweet man.

This by far the family portrait we have to date, I just LOVE it.

My husband and I celebrate our 9th anniversary.  NINE years!!! One more to the big One -O. It’s ups and it downs but it’s mainly about support and love, and three pretty babies with one more to come.
