Little Inspirations

I keep two sketch books in my purse, one for me, and one for my oldest. For me, you never know when inspiration will hit.

I don’t remember quite where we were but my son drew this picture for me. Rarely do I take pages from his sketch book, but I wanted to frame this one.

If you knew my son, you’d fall right in love, he has a sweet and VERY caring personality. You would be quite amazed at his insight.

He drew this of me and that is the baby inside my belly. VERY sweet, you can see how this would be frame worthy. I adore the way he drew the baby, and the bun in my hair. (in case you weren’t sure).

I decided instead of framing it, to do this.

I took the drawing, and used transfer paper to place it on the fabric, then I just embroidered it.

He LOVES it, and I do too. It’s going right up in my sewing space.

He also made one of Dad, I hope to have done for Father’s Day.

I hope you find tiny inspirations this week.

Oh this is adorable! My sister has started doing this too with her kid's pictures and giving them as gifts. I have a large canvas one nicely embroidered of my nephew's drawing. So special isn't it!

That is so cute. Now I wish I could sew – great alternative to displaying artwork.
