Little Nest

With six days to go, we are trying to spend some quality time with our duo. I hade been wanting to take the kids to Little Nest and this was finally the push that got us there.

Little Nest has been around for a while now, it was one of the first restaurants here that was aiming for families with little ones. There are toys and chalk boards and finger friendly foods.

I am usually not a complainer by nature, but I was a little disappointed in the service, not as friendly as I imagined. The food was great and the kids loved drawing before their food came. After we popped over to the toys and played a bit before it was getting close to Mr. Chubs nap time.

It was kind of funny because one thing I didn’t expect were parents that tuned out. I know the place was made for families, but some kids were screaming and out of control and the parents were just sitting and chatting.
This could have been the reason for the un friendly service.

I think that even if its made for kids its still an opportunity to teach your child how to behave in a restaurant.

I could be wrong, what do you think? Are there places you just let your kids go buck wild?

No there isn't. Not in a public eating place like that. That's what the parks and playgrounds are for. There are a few pubs here that have play areas and then I will admit I do let the older girls take my youngest in there to run off steam before her meal arrives but they have never run amok. It winds me up when you see families like that. You know what else – when the parents are having their meal and their language is positively blue. I think – if you really must talk like that around your own kids that's your business but should really have some respect for the families around that don't bring their kids up with language like that… oh you've touched one of my grumpy nerves with this post 😛 😛

Good luck for the coming days. So exciting!

The backyard…maybe the playground if there's no one else around.

Can't believe it's 6 more days!!! So excited for you.
