The Pirates of Simple Pants

I made my children some pants the other day. I had bought some fabric, and after I made my Pirate Girl doll, I was feeling …well in a pirate mood.

I pulled out my fabric and tried Lotta Jansdotter Simple pants. At first, I was like, this is too simple. If I can whip these up in about 15, how must they look? I was most skeptical about the crotch area, it rounds but it doesn’t have any notches, no notches on a round, usually means bunching. Notches just make things sit nicer.

However, when I had them both done, I loved them. They are fun and simple, and I could make a million of them. I made a few adjustments here and there to the second set for my older son; he is a smaller framed, and a longer guy.

(I could just eat these chubby feet all day long)

Tons of fun and highly suggested book, and one to put on you’re to “sew list”. If you are a beginner for sewing, this is YOUR book.

So funny, I saw the pic of the cubby baby legs and feet and thought how cute they were, then I saw your caption!

I'm a beginner at sewing but would absolutely love to do more, so I might have to check out that book!
